The 3rd SRIFF Investment Promotion is in progress. As a national-level film festival with high cultural taste and media attention, the 3rd SRIFF is of great value to establish enterprise brand image, develop corporate culture and promote products. Through previous consultation, the Executive Committee has reached sponsorship agreements with BMW, New Zealand Spring Water Abbio, Gewara Wepiao, Lanan Group, Growth Group, Durfee New Energy Auto and so on.
The Silk Road International Film Festival is an important measure to implement the “Belt and Road Initiatives”, a major project to implement the national “Silk Road Film & Television Bridge Program”, an important activity for Shaanxi to develop the new starting point of the Silk Road, the third international film festival after Shanghai International Film Festival and Beijing International Film Festival, as well as the only film festival named after the Silk Road in the world.
The SRIFF is alternately held by Xi’an and Fuzhou since its establishment in 2014. The previous two sessions were successfully held in 2014 (Xi’an) and 2015 (Fuzhou).
The 3rd SRIFF, co-sponsored by State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China (SAPPRFT), the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province and the People’s Government of Fujian Province, co-organized by the Film Bureau of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China, Shaanxi Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and Xi’an Municipal People’s Government, will take place at Qujiang New District, Xi’an, from September 19 to 23, 2016.
The 3rd Silk Road International Film Festival, themed “Film in Development, Culture with Diversity”, based on “internationalization, professionalization and specialization”, sets up seven sections of Opening Ceremony, Film Competition, Film Screening, Film Forum, Film Market, the Belt and Road” Cultural Show, and Closing/Award Ceremony.
